AGA is the largest manufacturer of luxury stoves, refrigerators, dishwashers and kitchen utensils in the UK now. Appliances are distinct in the exclusive design that will make the kitchen stylish and unique. The company AGA (Aktiebolaget Gas Accumulator) has been developed by such people as William Flavel, Gustaf Dalén, Abraham Darby and David Ogilvy. The brand was coined in 1922 by the Swedish inventor Nils Gustaf Dalén – a Nobel Prize winner in Physics in 1912. The developer of ideas was also William Flavel. In 1929 AGA came to England and quickly strengthened its market position by the Scottish seller Ogilvy David, who became the most powerful man of the 20th century in the advertising business and who wrote the book "Theory and practice of sales of kitchen stoves of AGA group». It was later in 1935.
In 1930, the company using the ideas of William Flavel began to produce stoves in Royal Leamington Spa (Royal Leamington Spa) at the company Rangemaster (now it is the branch).
In 1934, Sheila Hibben published a book perfectly describing the history of the origin of ideas of William Flavel: "Good food consists of three main components: quality products, properly mixed ingredients and proper cooking." The latter component is essentially an engineering problem. The scientist interested in the kitchen stove in his own house. Gustaf Dalén found interesting the establishment of facilities which would provide the comfort, energy savings and fully meet modern requirements.
Prior to the development he asked himself: "What is actually cooking?" And he answered his own question by himself: "This is a transfer of heat from the source to the product." The control of the heat intensity became a perfect solution for his ideas. "The AGA group cooker was firstly produced in the 50's in the shop of Abraham Darby (Shropshire County) as well as has been producing by now.
First stoves were only cream, then of a blue, green, white and black color. Then, a color range has been expanded with yellow and red colors. In 2001 AGA produced a collection of “Signature Collection” in five colors. The AGA team never wanted to stop and always took into account trends in the consumption of a given type of fuel. In 1964 the company produced oil stoves, gas stoves in 1968, electric in 1985 and the second generation of electric ovens was introduced in 2004.
The basic concept of new stoves remained the traditional technology "Six - Four" (four doors, six stove burners). Today, the sale of electric stoves is 45% from the total sales. Engineers of AGA group are actively working on the possibility of using fuel on the biological basis. But the company produces not only stoves but also refrigerators. Refrigerators of AGA perfectly combine the style and functionality. Built-in models with volume in only 172.6 liters have all features of full-size refrigerators. There are three shelves for an easy distribution of products and the integrated illumination inside the chamber. A built-in thermostat regulates the temperature from 0.5 to 7.2 ° C.
In early September 2008 AGA introduced its new collection of refrigerators Side-by-side. Refrigerators are presented in two sets: a refrigerator + a freezer and a refrigerator + a wine cabinet. A set with a wine cabinet accommodates to 60 bottles of wine. The camera is equipped with light and shelves which are put forward. A cooling chamber is equipped with a thermostat for a temperature control. A unique system of the air circulation proportionally spreads cold inside the cold chamber.
The refrigerator Side-by-side of AGA will be a pearl of any kitchen. In addition to refrigerators in the collection represented by AGA there is a beautiful ice generator emphasizing the style of the kitchen and adding a little functionality. After the process of freezing, ice cubes of a perfectly flat shape, odorless and impurities are received in result. A productiveness of the ice generator is up to 16 kg of ice per day. All collection of appliances has been made in the same style.
In 2008, the company developed an advertising campaign under the slogan "I love my Aga" dedicated to the tercentenary of the foundry in Shropshire in 2009. The company AGA looks forward to the future. Today, the company is actively continuing its work on developing eco-friendly and economical fuel. The company very strictly monitors the quality and functionality of the hardware products as many years ago.
